Robert G. Mitchell (83) of Dayton passed away peacefully in his home on July 11, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Elizabeth Mitchell and his sister, Carolyn Faulkner (Mitchell).
Survived by his wife of sixty-years, Carol Mitchell (Gardner), one brother, David Mitchell of Tampa, FL.
Four Daughters: Kimberly (John) Blackburn of Dayton OH.; Teresa (Thomas) Garrett of Middletown, OH.; Diane (David) English of Dayton, OH.; Katherine (Anthony) Johnson of Dayton, OH.
He was also blessed with eight Grand-children; twelve Great-Grand-children and one Great-Great Grand-child. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1969. He then worked as a General Maintenance Contractor until he retired.
He enjoyed the NFL and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns for many years.
He spent the remainder of his days with his wife & family enjoying his life.
We, the family, would like to sincerely say a huge Thank You to Hospice of Dayton for their assistance and especially to their Crisis Care nurses who showed care, compassion and understanding.
They were truly a blessing during this difficult & heartbreaking time.
A visitation will be held at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home - 1632 Wayne Avenue Dayton, OH 45410 on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 12:00-2:00pm.
A Memorial Service to begin at 2pm with the burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
